Overview
Glass Garden is operated by Eyve Incorporated. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit glassgardentea.com or place an order, how we use it, and the choices you have. We follow the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 and its implementing rules.
By using our website, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here.
1. What we collect
When you browse the site, we automatically receive some technical information about your device: browser type, IP address, time zone and the cookies set on your device. This helps the site load correctly and tells us, in aggregate, how people use it.
We also use the Meta Pixel and similar tools to record what you do on the site, such as the pages you view, the products you look at and what you add to your cart or buy.
When you place an order, we collect the details needed to fulfil it: your name, email address, phone number, shipping address and billing address. Payment details are handled by our payment processor and never stored on our servers.
If you contact us or sign up for updates, we keep the information you give us in that message or form.
2. How we use it
- To process, pack and deliver your order, and to keep you informed about it
- To answer your questions and resolve any issue with an order
- To screen orders for fraud
- To send you news about Glass Garden, only if you have opted in
- To understand how the site is used so we can improve it
- To measure how our ads on Facebook and Instagram perform and to show them to people likely to be interested
3. Who we share it with
We share your information only with the services we need to run the store:
- Shopify, which powers our website and stores order records
- PayMongo, which processes payments (GCash, Maya, cards and bank transfer). Your payment details go directly to PayMongo and we do not see your full card or account numbers
- J&T Express and any other courier we use to deliver your parcel, who receive your name, address and phone number
- Meta (Facebook and Instagram), for advertising. We share what you view and buy on our site, together with details such as your email address and phone number in hashed (scrambled) form, so Meta can measure our ads and show them to people likely to be interested. You can manage this in your Facebook or Instagram settings under Off-Facebook Activity
Some of these services, including Shopify and Meta, store data outside the Philippines. We use them under their own privacy and security commitments.
We never sell your personal information. We may also disclose information if required by law or a lawful request from a Philippine authority.
4. Cookies
Cookies are small files stored by your browser. We use them to keep items in your cart, remember your preferences and measure site traffic. Some cookies are set by Meta to measure our advertising. You can set your browser to refuse cookies or alert you when one is set, and you can limit ad tracking through your Facebook and Instagram ad preferences, though parts of the store, such as the cart, may not work without cookies.
5. How long we keep it
We keep order records for as long as we need them for accounting, tax and customer service purposes, and as required by Philippine law. Marketing preferences are kept until you unsubscribe. Information we no longer need is deleted or anonymised.
6. Your rights
Under the Data Privacy Act you have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to ask us to correct it, to ask us to delete it where we no longer have a reason to keep it, to object to the use of your information for advertising, and to withdraw consent to marketing at any time. To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@glassgardentea.com and we will respond within a reasonable time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the National Privacy Commission of the Philippines.
7. Security
Our store runs on Shopify, which encrypts data in transit and holds recognised security certifications. We limit access to your information to the people who need it to run the store. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you share with us.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our practices or the law change. The date at the top tells you when it was last revised. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
